Living Green Olympia: April 2010

Doing Spring Cleaning? Community ReUse Fair Coming Up!!

If you've been tackling all those clean out the closets, clean out the garage, clean out the basement chores, then you are probably accumulating a lot of "stuff".  Stuff that needs a new home!  If it has life left in it and needs a new home (not counting the landfill) then how about Olympia's upcoming ReUse Fair

Saturday, May 1st from 8-3 the Thurston County Fairgrounds will have booths loaded with items looking for a new home.  Early bird admission (you know that's when you find all the real treasures, right?) is $2.00 and after 9 AM it drops to $1.00.

For a space outside to show off your items/unload your junk, the cost is $25 - if you want a covered space, in case of our showers showing up that day, then the cost is $40.  For more info or to reserve a space, you can call 360-786-5453.

So if Earth Day had you thinking about reducing your waste, then the ReUse Fair is where you want to be to find new homes for your unwanted items - and perhaps find a few treasures to take home yourself!
