Living Green Olympia: November 2011

Shop Local for the Holidays - Olympia/Lacey

Shop local for the holidays is a popular idea across the country this year - and the Olympia/Lacey area has some great upcoming opportunities to do just that!

Shop Local Olympia

This coming Saturday, December 3, 2011, you can go do some great  book shopping - and you will be really pleased with the prices.  It's the used book sale at Lacey Timberland Regional Library, and you can come see the books for sale starting at 9:30 AM.  I know from past used book sales that it is likely you will find something to please every reading fan on your holiday shopping list!  The prices are excellent, the condition of most is like new - come browse fiction, nonfiction, cooking books, children's books & more - shop local for book bargains!

Also this Saturday is your opportunity to shop for living plants at the Master Gardener's December Plant Sale!  The sale will include fall color shrubs and evergreens, so you can add that natural beauty to your own yard or buy for someone on your gift list!  The plant sale will be from 10-3:00 this Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Dirt Works Garden (don't you love that name?) in Yauger Park on the westside of Olympia.  Shop local for living plants!
