Sunrise Park in Olympia WA is a great place to play - for kids and dogs both. This City of Olympia park is over 5 acres on the westside of Olympia, and includes the first off leash dog play area in Olympia. My granddaughter and I loved watching some dogs happily chasing balls, frisbees and each other within this fenced off play area. There were some very smiley dog faces!
Sunrise Park opened in 1995 and has a great playground for kids, and a big open grassy area just right for running, kicking a soccer ball around - or even sledding down the hill if we have a snowy winter.
There is also a large community garden that was started as a partnership with Garden Raised Urban Bounty (GRuB). I love walking past the garden on the way to the playground and checking out what is getting ripe! (Of course then I always think I should be home working in my own garden instead of playing in the park, but that's another subject).
