After a number of weeks of unseasonably chilly, damp weather, today's BEAUTIFUL sunshine brought what looked like most of the town down to Olympia's Farmer's Market! Definitely one of those days when you have to circle the parking lot watching for someone heading to their car to leave - then lurk to grab their space as soon as they back out.
Musicians were just tuning up on the stage, and many people were already filling the tables in front , ready to enjoy the music while they munched on some late breakfast, early lunch or just snacks.
Yummy looking asparagus, Walla Walla onions, apples & pears were going like the proverbial hotcakes. I got there too late to get any raspberries but apparently they will be back tomorrow at 10 - so I may be too!
Bedding plants are still a very popular choice; especially as all of us who bought a little earlier are trying to add some additional color or replace the plants that didn't exactly thrive thru the damp, cold last month.
And I got more zucchini and cucumber plants - so this afternoon is garden time for me! I LOVE our Olympia Farmer's Market!!

I love Farmer's Markets. The photos look great. The flowers looked so pretty.
Hi Nancy-
What great shots of your local Farmer's Market. Of course, Olympia is SUCH a spectacular city! Steve and I are looking forward to visiting there again.

Nothing better than the local farmers markets and yours looks great! I'll take a bunch of that asparagus :)
Thanks Allen - & yes the flowers are so pretty that I usually end up taking yet more plants home - then trying to figure out where they will fit!! LOL
Hi Sara - Olympia IS a pretty awesome place to live (or visit)! When are you coming this way again??
Thanks Lee & Carol - & yes the asparagus is really yummy! And now that berries are starting to appear, I have to get to the market regularly to restock!
