Happy St Patrick's Day to all (doesn't matter if you are Irish or not, you get to celebrate anyway). I drove by the Tumwater florist shop "woman" this morning, and she is all decked out in green and shamrocks for the occasion. Luckily I was stopped at the light long enough to get a photo out the car window so you can see this festive figure!
And she is dressed much more in the spirit of the day than I managed. For a woman who has Irish ancestors on both my mom's and dad's side of the family, I have an appalling lack of green in my closet. So though I did find my one and only green print blouse to wear and a strand of green Mardi Gras type beads, I figured I'd add this shamrock pin to my coat lapel. Gotta get in the spirit!
So the corned beef and cabbage are ready to go into the pot in a bit and my granddaughter really wants to see this green milk I've been talking about (she's WAY too young for green beer!). I'm pretty sure that the actual look of green milk will be more than she can handle to drink - but we'll see.
Now if this whole luck of the Irish pans out, I am hoping to be the lucky winner of a drawing for an Ipad at a brokers open I stopped at earlier today - hey I've got my green on AND my lucky shamrock!!
