Is that made out of buttons?  Great color choices.  Hope you had a fun day.

It was really fun Ralph - all different artwork exhibits in pretty much every downtown store and restaurant as well as music and other entertainment on sidewalks etc.  These fish are made out of bottle caps (guess somebody drank a LOT of beer!!)  LOL

Buttons of all colors... How cool is that!  Great artwork.

Fun, isn't it John?  And some of it is buttons and some is bottle caps.  I love seeing creative artwork like this!

Hi Anna! It really is fun - kind of an all city party! Hard to say whether the best part is seeing all the artwork or people watching and running into nearly everyone you know.

Nancy,

It always astounds me when I see the creativity from something simple, like the buttons in this picture.  Hope you're doing well... g

Nancy very interesting piece. So it is made of battle cap and buttons?

Yes Jennifer - there were probably a dozen fish or other sea creatures displayed and all were made with bottle caps and buttons and just shimmered in the light. Fun to see!

I was just watching sponge bob square pants, and there was a flounder on it today...  So that is what it makes me think about!

This looks like something my mom would put together.  She's a great lover of buttons and always has a large supply of every  kind.  No matter what button is missing, she can replace it.  The sign of a real seamstress and a dying breed.  You're right ... it is novel ...

Hahahah Chris! And did you have kids watching with you or was this just your programming choice?

Hi Gene! I admire people like your mom and the woman who created this fish since I just don't seem to have much talent along those lines. I do love seeing creative art though!

Nancy, those FISHES look like decorations for a home located on the water!    THX for sharing!

You are right Joan that they would make awesome artwork for a waterfront home!!  We have so much water between saltwater and MANY lakes in the Olympia area, that fish just strike a chord.
