And I'll have to get more pix today...we've now got just over 12" and snow coming down hard. I need taller boots!

Nancy, Looks like quite a storm!  I hope that the dog finds it's bone, but in a foot of snow, that is a tall order!

Nancy,

Always a mystery what lies underneath the snow.  And it sounds like you do need to get taller boots... g

Looks like our house this morning, although, you got more snow than we did further south. Our snow is now a rain/snow mix...I'd rather it was all white - I love "snow days."

That is really cute.  I have an American Eskimo dog.  Kodi Bear loves cold weather and snow.  Unfortunately, we live in Sacramento, which can have really hot summers.  I drove him up the rode last winter, and let him out of the car for awhile to play in the snow.  I never saw Kodi frolick like he did, ever!

Hi Tony & Darcy - yes, we're pretty much snowed in! But so far, so good for power staying on so we're comfy and warm between snow romps!

Hi Gordon! We've also got our son's dog over here right now - and the snow is just about over his head:)

Hahaha Connie Lou - our Daisy dog who is in the picture sometimes just digs in the snow for...mouthfuls of snow. Hmmmm I better go see if her water dish is frozen over...

Hi Debb - we're still getting snow, but it's pretty light now. Still think I won't even attempt to go anywhere today!

Oh Myrl - I can just picture your Kodi playing in the snow! Daisy acts like she's a puppy again, just running, flopping down in it, and grinning her doggy grin!

Where there is a will, there is a way....that darn snow isn't going to make much difference!

You're right Sharon! Though today with over a foot of snow I'm not sure even super nose Daisy would smell a buried bone:)

Looks like it's pretty cold out there-but I say this puppy has both a great nose and a great memory.  Adorable!

My dogs absolutely LOVE the snow!  Sadly, we don't get enough of it here in Texas.  Believe it or not, it's 71 degrees right now in Dallas/Ft. Worth!

Hey Nancy, just checking on you. Have you dug out of the snow yet?  :)

Thanks Joanna - she does have quite the nose as well as amazing hearing for the crackle of her treats bag!

Carissa - I'm glad I didn't read your comment with that 71 degrees in it yesterday when we were shivering and whining with ice and snow outside - and no power for over 24 hours. LOL. Today I'm just being SO grateful for those things we take for granted like lights and heat and water!!

Hi Debb - you're so sweet to check on me! We did finally get our power back yesterday, so the house is warm again (which is good since I was getting really whiny about freezing!). Still LOTS of snow even though it's slowly melting. Our driveway is a mess of downed branches so we can get out in husband's pickup - but my car is still snowbound! Still many people without power so I'm feeling REALLY lucky!!
